Good to know for our customers and partners: When do we become active as a factor, and when don't we?

In order for factoring to be used as an effective and practical financing instrument for SMEs, a few requirements must be met. The most important basis is the validity of the receivable – in other words, clear proof that you are actually legally entitled to the outstanding receivable. Below we have summarised for you under what conditions we act as a factor – and when factoring is not the right solution.

We support business customers who fulfil the following criteria:

Our customers who use A.B.S. Full-Service-Factoring are Swiss SMEs or their foreign subsidiaries that have additional liquidity requirements and are mainly active in B2B business. The following criteria must be met for cooperation

  • The invoiced service has already been provided in full at the time of invoicing
  • Turnover between CHF 500,000 and approx. CHF 50 million
  • Low concentration of debtors and no high dependencies on individual customers
  • Payment targets of a maximum of 120 days

Cooperation does not materialise:

  • If the service on which the invoice is based has not yet been fully rendered; e.g. in the case of project business or contracts for work
  • In the case of advance payment
  • In the case of cash transactions
  • In the case of intercompany receivables
  • For receivables from private individuals
